These are a few of my most popular photo shoot locations in Kailua. They’re all beautiful spots, so you can’t go wrong choosing any of them. I’m open to shoot at other locations as well, as long as it fits with my schedule, and availability.

1. Lanikai Beach
Loved for the twin islands shot. I like to meet at the last beach entrance on Kuailima Street, so that we can take pictures at the very end past the crowds.

2. Kalama Beach
Has a lot of lush green tropical plants at the entrance before hitting the beach.

3. Secret Beach
Has brown rock barrier around the water which looks great in pictures, not many people come to this beach so it is never crowded. Beach entrance is on Milokai Place, so I like to park on Milokai Street and walk over.

4. Kawainui Marsh
Green mountain background with a grassy field. Also has a gorgeous brick wall/ path. This spot is also the best spot on the Eastside for sunsets. The sun sets behind the mountains, and on the right day we get a lot of pretty colors in the sky.

5. Ulupo Heiau
Located right behind the YMCA in Kailua. It is a tropical, green, lush location. There are lots of native to Hawaii tropical plants. There is also a bridge that runs over a stream which makes a great family picture spot.
*Note: Beach locations are generally windier than the non-beach locations, especially during the fall and winter months. If planning a session at the beach, I advise young ones to have their hair pulled up and out of the face.
